Hammam Al Andalus
Enchanting. Soothing. Enticing. There are many ways to describe it, but no words can quite do justice to the experience you’ll have at Hammam Al Andalus. The setting, the music, the decoration – everything is dedicated to giving you comprehensive down-time.
While the experience is somewhat different to a ‘genuine’ Arab hammam, it’s hard to care while passed out on a hot stone!
The founders of Al Andalus sure have some background in wellness, running Arab bath centres in Málaga, Córdoba, Granada and Madrid. We could tell you about the Málaga hammam and its different baths (of varying temperatures), luxury showers, massages or steam room, but we’d rather have you discover it yourself.
Prices might seem rather high at 43 euros for a relaxing bath and a 15 minutes massage, but the hammam often has offers and does discounts for students, groups and residents.
Book tickets at the reception, as the website is a bit difficult to navigate. Come 5-10 minutes early to get the necessary information and don’t forget your bathing suit (this is not an ‘au naturel’ hammam). Towels, soap and slippers and 100% relaxation are provided for you.
You might feel a bit lightheaded when leaving the hammam; we suggest you try and come back to your senses enjoying a tea and some Arab sweets at one of Málaga many teterías.
